I just finished replacing my alternator and I tried a different way
than everyone on the list recommended to me. I jacked up the car,put
it on jackstands and then proceeded to unbolt the AC Comp. There are
I believe 3 bolts on the AC Comp. and it will come off easily. After
you have unbolted it you can get to the Alternator quite easily
from underneath.

If you push the push the AC Comp towards the drivers side of the car
there is more than enough room for the alternator to come out and put
the new one in. This is much easier and far less messy than pulling
the coolant line and possibly unbolting the motormount. It worked well
for me, your mileage may vary.
