I think thats a great price for an se-r already modded. When I bought my
se-r, it was bone stock with 89000 miles on it for 2500 so your getting a
good deal if you ask me. As for the engine, i find my sr20 to be very easy to
work on. Its not very complecated at all, everything is right infront of you
without having to remove plastic covers and what not. The engine is also very
reliable, i've heard of sr20's to run great to 150k+ and stil running strong,
there are people on this list that have se-r's with 100k+ miles. The engines
bottom end is very strong as you said, it could easially hold 7psi of boost
from a turbo, mabye even 10+, it depends on how much you want to push it. As
far as comparing this to a Hondas engine compartment, i find the parts on the
sr20 engine itself to be much stronger and made with better quality than
honda parts. I have handled honda intake manifolds and when compared to OEM
nissan, the nissan sure feels stronger. Overall i think you would be very
happy if you bought an se-r + you'd make alot of friends in the process
i hope i was of some help
