Tint removal

FWIW, I removed some bubbling purple tint from my 91
SE with Goo Gone (which I guess is like Goof Off),
razor blades, and steel wool. Sounds like your tint's
adhesive is of a nastier variety, though.
I used the razor blade to lift up an edge of the tint
and then sprayed a hot water/Goo Gone solution out of
a spray bottle onto the sticky film left behind. I
found that if I pulled very slowly and evenly the tint
would peel off. After soaking for a minute the steel
wool removed the goo without too much fuss.
The biggest PITA was the rear window because it had a
defroster. Be careful.
Hope this helps and good luck.

PITA. I doesn't want to scrape off. I tried soaking
it with Goof Off
and
lacquer thinner and neither did a thing, even after
making slices with
a
razor knife.
