As somebody else stated, a glasspack should get rid of it pretty
quickly. You need to be careful, though, as many glasspacks have a
smaller inner core than the inlet and outlet diameters. Specifically,
Thrush has an entire line of 1 7/8" (IIRC) up to 2.5" glasspacks that
all have the same 2" core. You can go to the Dynomax website, though
(http://www.dynomax.com/) and sort through which Thrush models have the
big core and which ones don't before you order your part.

Also, don't forget that you want a perforated core instead of a louvered
core resonator or glasspack, whichever you wind up buying.
