Well, under low and moderate speeds, the loss of surface area should not
have too much of a negative effect on braking, one would assume.  At higher
speeds, the loss of surface area may have a negative effect on braking, but
at these same higher speeds, one must worry about green fade.  Of course I
am no brake expert so take it as you may.  Back to enjoying the ride.
