I agree but thats what the cheap Radio Shack sound level meter read.  The
only other explanation I have is that the sound deadening material in the
resonator or muffler or both is shot.  I had a bad coolant temp. sensor a
while back.  Also, the idiot that did my custom exhaust also rewired my O2
sensor to reach the fitting on the AEBS header and did it wrong so my
air/fuel ratio was screwed up for a while.  I was running very rich for
awhile and putting a lot of carbon, etc. through the exhaust.
