I got my first NX (the one that burned!) back for a nominal salvage fee off the insurance check. USAA likely won't care either, but I wouldn't mention anything other than that it has a low mileage engine in it. For the most part, insurance companies consider maintenance not something that increases value.</div><div><br></div><div>I also parted out one NX, and took the wheels from it. When it came time to get the chassis hauled away, I moved it to the flatbed truck with an engine hoist and a couple floor jacks. and then the truck pulled it up the bed. IIRC the driver had a dolly that we put the nose on. That same NX had been stolen here in Chicago, and was found on the south side with the wheels stolen. The city had dragged it up off the ground with less care...</div><div><br></div><div>Regarding insurance, coming from the world of boats -- has anybody here looked at agreed value insurance for older/classic cars (such as Grundys)? No haggling, if the car is totaled, you simply get the agreed value. State Farm totalled it, and I pulled off a few of the easy things - JWT ECU, strut bar - before they towed it away.
