<p>George, we finally added a manual wagon to our stable, so that
means we are a BMW family now too (not by choice I insist!).<br>
Like George, I'm in a Z3 M, but mine is the polarizing Coupe
version. We added an E91 wagon, manual transmission, RWD, sport
seats, chocolate leather, white paint, heated seats, no navigation
= no iDrive. It is the proper unicorn of E91 wagons.<br>
<br>
The SE-R has been basically complete (yes, I had a goal for it and
followed it through) for 5-6 years now. I am slowly getting a few
niggles taken care of while I plan to pass it on to another owner.
Keep an eye out for that, as it might be super cheap (think less
than $100).<br>
It is getting an entire brake overhaul, including custom caliper
adapters I've been wanting to machine for a decade now...<br>
<br>
Include the wife's Beetle which we are also trying to get rid of
and you have 4 cars, all manuals. =P<br>

I'm on my second E46. The first howled at the moon, but
my touring (wagon) is simply awesome. LOVE the car. I
looked for it for 3 years to find a southern car with the
right options at a price that wasn't out of this world
(tourings with manual gearboxes are hard to find and
expensive, a sport package even more so).<br>

My first E46 (sedan) replaced my turbo P10 that was totaled
when a 19 YO young lady hit me and sent me into another car.
Had that not happened I'd probably still be driving the P10.<br>

I never left. I sold my NX due to rust issues that I never
fixed. That was back in 14 I think. I have been
maintaining my 97 Maxima (which is in great shape in and
out). I really want a clean P10 now. My baby at the time I
joined the list is in her 2nd year at Brandeis University.
Biochemistry. Things are well. My entire family is BMW
except me.
