<table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0" ><tr><td valign="top" style="font: inherit;">My go-to the past couple of times was the Bridgestone 950/960's but I see tirerack no longer has them in 14 as you point out about others. I have had a couple of good things said to me by others about the General Altimax HP and I know those folks got the 14's. Depends on your usage but they seem to have tested well with good customer feedback at tirerack. YMMV<br><br>Larry<br><br>--- On <b>Fri, 10/7/11, Khiem Dinh <i><spdracerut@gmail.com></i></b> wrote:<br><blockquote style="border-left: 2px solid rgb(16, 16, 255); margin-left: 5px; padding-left: 5px;"><br>From: Khiem Dinh <spdracerut@gmail.com><br>Subject: Re: good 14" tires hard to find<br>To: "Jason Puckett" <dbax_fan@yahoo.com><br>Cc: "se-r@se-r-list.org" <se-r@se-r-list.org><br>Date: Friday, October 7, 2011, 3:08 PM<br><br><div id="yiv1117584142"><div>Michelin Pilots

<div>It's time for new tires to replace the second set of Yoko AVS ES100s for my (non-SE-R) car and I'm discovering that it's hard to find reasonably priced GOOD tires in 14 inches now, there just aren't many choices anymore. I guess 14 inch wheels are *so* 1990s and no new cars come with them anymore (I'm glad I have 15's on my SE-R! I got the ES100s for something like $85 a tire a couple of years ago.<br>
</div>
<div><br></div>
<div>I've narrowed it down to:</div>
<div>BFG g-force super sport a/s for $88 each</div>
<div>Falken Ziex ZE-512 for $69 each</div>
<div>Michelin Pilot Exalto a/s for $101 each</div>
<div>*maybe* the Falken Azenis for $100 each but with a 200 treadwear rating can I expect more than 15K miles out of them?<br></div>
<div><br></div>
<div>Has anyone had any good/bad experience with any of these? I tend to drive somewhat aggressively and don't mind noise/rough ride. I want good traction, safe wet handling and hopefully at least 20K miles out of the tires.</div>
<div><br></div>
<div>I miss the days of the awesome Yoko A509s that I had or the sticky Dunlops that all cost me $70 to $90. I looked at the Dunlop Direzza but they're $126 each and that's just too high for me. I'm wondering if in a couple of years I'll even be able to find ANY 14 inch tires when I need to replace the next set.</div>

<div>Thanks for any input from the good ol' SE-R list!</div>
