check-in - what are you driving?

My SR20VE-swapped '93 SE-R hasn't been a daily driver since 2006 or so when I came across a white on black, 5MT '02 G20 Sport that I had to have. Shortly after, it got relegated to garage queen and I installed Ground Control Advance Design coilovers and a Sparco race seat for the track days that never happened. It has been on jack stands for about almost 10 years now while I occasionally acquire parts that I might someday install, like the set of 16" Black Racing Phantom M1s and the JDM Sunny front bumper.

I really want to get it back on road but the sad truth is I think I'm too old to enjoy the stiff ride and loud exhaust now. Maybe I'll go to a softer setup, but I have a '77 280Z taking up my wrenching time. The funny thing is that my daughter who used to ride in it to preschool and is now a college student has hinted that she wants to drive it. I did something right because she has taken over the G20 and has no interest in driving anything with an auto tranny.

Then the B13 became a weekend car until 5th gear popout combined with lack of funds to fix it so it would pass AZ emissions test (they have to drive it in all gears on the dyno) forced me to put it in storage in 2013. It's been hiding in the garage for almost 6 years now :(

We do our vacation road trips in my grandfather's 2010 Impala he left to me. My 2004 Toyota 4Runner Limited 4WD now has 298k miles on it and is resting, needs alternator, power steering lines and A/C compressor with lines. Some day!

However, now the starter appears to have died, so I pushed it back into the garage... I'll get it running again and teach my son to drive it next year.
