Love Miatas, but don't think you can call them similar.  I mean... 
they're RWD, 2 seater, convertible, not really 4 season drivable in 
colder areas.  More of a pure toy than a daily driver with some 
performance aspirations and space for groceries. Assume you're talking 
the current generation ones?

The ex & I had a 1990.  It was a blast to drive, even if it was slow as 
hell (nearly 10 sec 0-60) but it felt a bunch quicker.  And definitely 
liked the go-cart RWD balanced chassis feel  :)  I LOATHED working on 
its engine, and having changed out the convertible top once, will NEVER 
attempt DIY again.
