dropping the oil pans with the exhaust in place

I believe I've done it this way during one of my 6+ ghetto rod bearing 
replacements. I don't remember fully, but I recall unbolting the exhaust 
at the manifold, and just letting it hang from the flex pipe. Yah, it's 
coming back to me now. I've never removed anything but that I don't think.
