Found it! I wish I'd taken a closer look several hours ago, though, instead of being all formal and all....

The enviro-boot over the connector at the wiper motor was out of place enough that over time it allowed all sorts of enviro-crap into the connector, leading to much gooey white stuff all over the place and, probably, no connection. Now to get all the crap cleaned off.....
