As far as I'm concerned, you have two options. First, you can do the
body work yourself. Replace the bumper, and fill in any dents with bondo
if that seems feesable. Then sand and prep the entire car, taking out
all the lights and masking off all of the glass, etc. Then have the car
towed to Macco (you did say Macco right) and have them paint it for $150
or what ever. Make them do an extra coat maybe for another $40. It will
be a poor job, with orange peel and tons of drips. It will be awful, but
at least they won't but the letters on the trunk lid backwards (don't
get me started). Then you get to do a lot of sanding. You get to sand
down the drips, and wet sand the entire car until you're left with a
great paint job. The overspray and orange peel will be a lost memory.
I know a few factory five roadster guys who've taken their cars to
Macco. They say as long as you're prepaired to do they work tthat they
don't, you should be okay.

You next option (frankly the one I prefer, and the one I'll be employing
when my carbon fiber hood comes) is the $50 paint job.
