All of this sounds very reminiscent of a quickly failing cable. But, mine failed a bit slower, and slightly differently than yours did, so I don't know... Does your pedal stop halfway up the travel during the return? or you say it doesn't return at all? -Ben Fenner 1994 Black SE-R
