Mild detonation at 7200 and above.

I've noticed recently that if I punch it up to redline,
the last couple hundred RPM sound like the motor's
detonating.

I'm wondering what the cause(s) could be?

So far my thoughts have been faulty or failing
FPR, injector(s?), or possibly the fuel pump is
going south. I am planning to hook up a fuel
pressure gauge and doublecheck pressure in
between the rail and the filter. Should I also
be checking the return side between the FPR
and the return line?

Lastly, I have a set of spare injectors, I was thinking
to send them out to RC, make sure they are okay, and
then swap them. Or, I could swap them, send the ones
that are in there now out to RC, and see definitively
whether or not there is a problem with them.

Thoughts/comments?
