So I have "fearlessly" started the engine removal of my 95' G20 to be
replaced with an engine from a 96' G20 with low miles. You guys are very
experienced and I always get great advice from you. I am wondering if the
conventional take it out the bottom with the tranny attached still applies
to this vehicle. The suspension on this car is a might bit different than it
was on my 91' NX. I have a brain, a haynes manual, several posts printed on
removal, but no FSM.

1.) Can I still detach the knuckle (?) from the strut body and pull the
axles from the tranny and leave them in the wheel hub to remove the engine?

2.) Where do you guys hang the AC compressor while doing this? With the
second radiator in the front still in place it's tough to manuever it more
than about 8 inches.

3a.) Can I put the new engine in with the primary/header attached?
3b.) With the secondary/downpipe attached?
3c.) With the alternator attached?

The reason I want to leave this on is because the new engine has all this
already attached, and it's in good shape all around, I'd rather not loosen
those bolts and have to get new gaskets and the like. Also the heat shields
are intact, but I don't think they would be after. I don't see why it
wouldn't fit, but I wanted to get advice.

Anyone in the Southern Maine area want to let me borrow a cherry picker this
saturday/sunday? I can barter/trade in Cellular phones and Computers -
because that's what my store does. Call me with needs.
