I installed the Hotshot turbo kit before I had the trans modified by Level
10. After about a 18 months, the clutches started to slip badly. When
boost came on, first gear did not hold, the rpms shot up and the car
shifted into 2nd. I drove to New Jersey and had Level 10 rebuild my
trans. When they opened it up, they found that all the clutches and the
band were scorched and cracked.

They replaced the clutches with new high performance material, modified the
valve body, installed a high pressure pump and a high stall torque
converter (~3200rpm). They said it would hold in excess of 300HP. It made
a world of difference.

Lionel Stackhouse (stackser@earthlink.net) has a Level 10 trans on a '94
Classic and loves it.

I haven't had any trouble with the axles, and am still using the original
motor mounts. We'll see how they hold up after a few more drag strip runs
on slicks.
