I was reading through the July '03 Car & Driver featuring, "Ten Japanese
Cars You Can't Have." One of them is the ASL Garaiya RS-01, a little
roadster that doesn't look too spectacular, except that it's powered by a
Nissan 2.0L.

"Powered by a mid-mounted Nissan 2.0-liter four (remember the fast-revving
engine in the Sentra SE-R?), the Garaiya is plenty quick, dispatching the
quarter-mile, the PR lady swears, in 14 seconds flat."

"Displacement 122 cu in, 1998cc
Power (SAE net) 201 bhp @ 7200 rpm
Torque (SAE net) 152 lb-ft @ 5200"

Sounds like the SR20VE, and it uses a 6-speed transmission. I also
remember the Tommykaira, another Japanese creation that uses the SR20.
There was also a Caterham here in the U.S. that had a transplanted SR20.

For the sake of trivia, does anyone know of other cars using the SR20?
