Not sure about the other noises, but the popping and groaning from a start and backing up sounds like the ball joint. Mine was making the same noise last year, same symptoms. Got the ball joints replaced, the groaning and popping sounds went away. Anyway, it solved my problems... maybe it will for you, too. Later, Mark
