The car will not have any cats on it at all, I can get away with fooling the
ECU its got cats and no CEL light. Its his daily driver and he likes to romp
on it every once in a while so good gas mileage, and nice torque is all he
wants. Plus getting a good engine from Japan is a guess game lately... I go
to Soko frequently and really don't like the way some of the engines look.
Looks can be deciving but still... I wouldn't want no engine that looked
like it sat on the bottom of the atlantic ocean for the last 20 years- thats
how badly some of the engines are oxidized etc. This engine is almost like
new, and I doubt it will have any problems for a while. Im putting custom
4-2-1 headers on it, removing the balance shafts, bump the timing- got a
Consult:), CAI, cams-JDM QR20 cams are bigger than the 2.5s- free :P,
exhaust is done, no cats, pulleys, flywheel- JDM Toda, it should put out
close to 175WHP with over 175lbs of torque. Good enough for daily driver.
Mike Jez- 4 SE-Rs lined up outside for engine, tranny, other types of work
and I do not own a single SE-R no more :)
01 Max 5spd- race me Mr EVO.
