>just have my Nissan dealership do it The Nissan dealer is going to use the very same methods you are afraid of. Of the approx 20 or so stuck drain plugs I have removed, only one case cracked. It was stuck so bad that I had to use a chisel/hammer to drive the plug around. Even then, a bit of RTV in the crack kept it from leaking. -Jay
