Ok, it appears that we have a terminology issue here. From your
last sentence, it appears that you consider "solid" to be a brake
disc that is neither cross-drilled nor slotted, and vice-versa for
"vented." If so, that is not what the rest of us consider "solid" or
"vented." A vented rotor is not solid throughout its thickness. The
OEM B13 rotor is what, 28 mm thick. Of that, the center ~ 8mm or so is
"vented" in that it is open to permit air to circulate and disperse
heat. Look at your front brake rotors, you will see what I mean.
