First gear grinds

Hey i was wondering if anyone could help me with my problem.  I have a 97
200sx se-r when i am moving and go to put my car in first gear doesn't matter how
fast i am going even does it when i am going like 2 miles an hour it grinds.
My one friend said it could be the bushings but he wasn't sure i was wonder
if anyone knew what could be the problem.  Also i was wondering what kind of
clutch i had in my car and if it could be adjusted.  I thought it was a
hydraulic but not sure.
