Wheel Package and ?'s

Mark: I'll look into it as soon as I get my wheels.
Strange why the spindle is so long, maybe a common part
used on other models. Appears not to be heat treated much,
maybe just high grade steel,so probably can be cut.
The experienced guys out there can probably advise.
