*Just* put a set on my E46 328i. Too soon to *really* pass much comment,
but they handle a buttload better than the Scummitomo HTRZ tires that were
on it. They have a *little* harsher ride, but that might be the pressures
(keep forgetting to check them believe it or not).

While I've only had the ES-100s for a few days, I've had *nothing* but
wonderful experiences with 3 different Yokohama tires before these.

I had A520s on my SE-R and they were the best tire I've ever had. You just
couldn't make the aquaplane until they were damned near worn out. Very
good dry grip and handling too. Most folks say they were loud, but I never
noticed. I also got 40k miles out of them and I don't drive like a granny
by any stretch.

I had some pedestrian Yoks on my G20 when I first got it and they were a
great tire. I even ran them on the track at the 2000 convention DE. Good
mileage, pretty reasonable grip for a 195/40-14 tire that was not a
performance tire (much better than the Dunlop D60A2 which I never could see
what people saw in them besides price).

I had a set of Paradas on the G20 after I put on 17" wheels. They were a
very good tire. Not quite up to the A520 but quieter and they too lasted
40k miles. I was very happy with them and if they came in 225/40-17 I
might have considered them for the Bimmer.

I'm 100% sold on Yokohama tires. I will always buy them whenever they are
available. An excellent balance between price and performance and IMHO
they out perform all comers.

I've also had Scummitomo HTR-ZII tires on the G in 17" and they blow
goats. They didn't last for crap. They were so-so on the street, but
surprisingly enough they did inspire some confidence on the track at the
2001 convention DE.

I also had Kumho (sp?) 711 tires on the G and they sucked worse than the
Scummitomos.

I gave up on Pirellis 20 years ago when my CN36s didn't last 12k miles and
my P8s all developed sidewall bubbles within a couple of months.

Make mine Yokohamas thanks. BTW, the folks on the Porsche and Bimmer
forums think they offer a great price/performance ratio that is hard to beat.
