mixing brake pad types

It isn't too bad depending on what you mix and your driving conditions. It
will change the brake balance. How much depends on what pads you use, they
all have a different coefficient of friction. I put a non-OEM brand on the
front of my 200SX and it made it extremely dangerous to drive in the snow. I
quickly switched to OEM to restore the balance.
