Multiple codes

Hello,

Recently my check engine light came on, I checked it then and it came up as
the rear oxygen sensor. Ok, no big deal. I waited about two weeks before
getting the o2 sensor, and before installing it, I checked the ecu once again
just to double check that it was reading as the rear. Well when I checked it
again, the code it is giving me is for the VSS(Vehicle Speed Sensor).

My question is this. Does the ecu only store ONE code at a time? If it does, I
guess I need to check and/or replace the VSS as well. Do you guy's think it
would be wise to go ahead with the replacement of the o2 sensor since I have
it already, or do you think I should check out the VSS sensor before hand now
that it's giving me that code?

I'm thinking the VSS sensor will most likely be fairly expensive because it is
a dealer only part, meaning I cannot buy it at the local auto zone or other
parts shops. Have any of you guy's had to replace one of these before, and if
so, what was the price range on the part?

All your advice is appreciated.

Thanks!
