mystery noise pt3

Okay, went and crawled under the car after lunch..
CV is fine, both boots intact.
Looks like there might be a grove on the inside rotor, hard to tell w/o
pulling the caliper off.
All lug nuts on, all weights on, no bulges in tire.

So it is either the bearing or pads... any other possibilities?
Have I missed any other parts? I am leaving work early to tackle this.
What about a loose component, like steering rack bolts?
