Don't know about cost.  There are also issues with the junk that is used to
seal the oil separation tray at the top.  I'm not sure if that would cause
problems, but the anodizer will let you know, I'm sure (they wouldn't want
contamination).  You shouldn't have any problem finding someone who can
handle this in Dallas.  Look in the phone book under anodizing and/or
coatings.  I've found them in the phone book this way.  Or, you could do a
Google search for anodizing Dallas.
