Rewire to alternator

Im one of the older pharts on this list and Ive never seen that
question come up before.  I believe I remember some questions about
higher output alternators, but I dont think anyone has mentioned the
wires before.

Generally, Id say that unless your wire is in bad shape for some
reason, or if youve got a lot of electronics in the car pulling down
the current, there probably isnt any need to upgrade the wire.

If you want to test the cable, locate both ends of the wire (basically
should be alternator to battery) and hook a meter at these two points.
Youll probably need a clip for the alternator end.  Make sure the
wires are out of the way of moving parts, then start the engine and
measure the voltage drop across the wire.  It should be very low, Im
guessing below .05v.  If its higher than say .2v, it might be
worthwhile to upgrade to a larger cable.
