Yep, I concur. No one here was advocating abandoning tried and tested 'real'
methods and instead adopting 'oxide surface conditioning', simply
referencing an interesting trivial fact. Just store it away for when you and
your friends break out the "Trivial Pursuit, Sterling Edition."
