High-port vs. Low-port... pros & cons

Actually the plan is to drop the bad boy in an S13. I just
thought about this, but is ther much of a difference in
dropping in an FWD SR20 versus a RWD SR20? Like
mounts etc. I've had enough of from wheel drive. I am doing
the project this way because of funding and time. This will
let me build it as I get the money and as time allows. Kinda
like a prepaid cell phone. My parents just had a nice new
shed built in our backyard, and I convinced them to let me
conduct this project out there. I agree about RWD being the
way to go. Especially in drag racing when the weight lifts off
the front end and goes to the back. I only see using FWD in
econobox applications. Does anyone know if I can get some
sort of insurance for the engine while it is out in the shed? It
would really suck to have it stolen or something while out
there and not have it covered. Thanks!

Hi Donovan,

It sounds like a really! fun project. I only wish I had the resources
(time and money) to go for it.

Unless you have a real interest in front wheel drive, have you considered
doing your build up on a RWD SR20DE?

IMHO, RWD is the only way to go unless you have a specific reason to stay
FWD. What could be more fun than rear wheel drifts that a high powered RWD
car offers. It would be so cool for boost to come on and break your rears
loose and driving to control the rear end of your car.

Either way, have a blast with your nissan project!
