The chain will last the life of the engine.  When the chain goes, so will
the engine. :-)

Seriously, given what a JDM engine runs these days, I cannot see changing
the chain, given the cost.  I've examined several high mileage chains and
they all looked to be in fantastic shape, including the ones I've taken out
of engines I've rebuilt.  I've only heard of one chain failure and that was
in a car under warranty - a pure fluke if you ask me.
