fuel filter hose stickiness

Well, everyone knows what a pain in the butt it is to change the fuel filters.
I spent 15 min. with a big ole flathead screwdriver trying to pry the hoses off
of it.  All I ended up doing was tearing up the hose a little.  Needless to
say, I haven't changed the filter yet.  But when I do, has anyone devised a way
to keep the hoses from getting so freakin stuck onto the filter?  I almost want
to put some kind of lubricant or something between the hose and fittings on the
filter but the thought of anything aside from fuel going to the injectors
brings up bad images.  I dunno... maybe some Astroglide ;)
