I've wondered this myself.  My idle is a little ragged, but I'm afraid
to take it to a stealership for fear that they'll try to restore my car
to it's original state of tune and not actually fix what's wrong.  I bet
another 50-100 RPM would do my car a world of good; but is it safe?
