Bad Gas Mileage

So exactly how bad were your 1/4 mile times?  Could it be your cat is
stuffed?  If you have poor performance and you have bad gas mileage,
it's possible that your cat's core has gone into meltdown...

OK, I know this is a GO TO THE ARCHIVES! but, I have and I still can't
figure
it out. I am getting like 17-18 MPG. I have tried everything; new O2
sensor,
plugs, wires, cap and button, regrounding the MAF, the fuel filter is
fairly
new will probably end up changing that again soon also.  I was getting
average gas mileage until I went drag racing a few weeks ago.  Could this
have somthing to do with it? Also at the strip my 1/4 mile times were very
poor.   Any help would be appreciated. I would like to get this fixed just
in
case something major doesn't break!
