Brake Question?

I have the stock brakes of my car.  While at Virginia Int. Raceway at a
driving school I overdrove the brakes to the point of serious fade.  I bled
the brakes again and someone gave me some hawk racing pads.  To make a long
story short I lost the two wire clips that put outward tension on the pads
for one side of my car.  Is this a problem for durability on the street.
The pads aren't making any noise but I don't know if this is a big deal.
