My main consern is that of critical mass. The past
conventions have had large amounts of local attendees
that help make the event sucessfull.

As we get bigger we owe it to the sponsers to pick
locations that will reach the most amount of people.
We also owe it to SERCA to help the club grow.

Althouh Brad is very capable of running the event, I
don't think there are more than 3-5 se-r guys in the
area. I don't think this will supply the critical
mass needed. Brad was also worried about track
events.

So Cal, Texas and the NE areas of the country have
traditionaly had the highest consentration of owners
ensuring great sucess.

As far as submitting a proposal, has there been a
procedure published? Has Brad submitted any more of a
formal proposal than Carlos has? I have not seen one.
We probably need to develop a proceedure now that
hosting a convention is actualy something people want
to do!

I think it has to be in the bylaws.
