God Kevin, I've searched a long time for the right words to describe
exactly what you have written.  I don't want to discourage people from
doing a DET swap.  But, this list makes it sound easy and it is and isn't.

The one other thing I would add to what you wrote is that folks should be
careful about putting themselves in a position where they are so over their
heads they cannot stay focused and methodical when things go wrong.  It can
*kill* your confidence.  It happened to a good friend of mine and it wasn't
even an engine swap.  It damned near happened to me when I did my Beast
swap.  I had so many issues initially I couldn't stay focused and sort them
out.  I told Mike I felt like a newbie who never held a wrench before.  I
finally had to take a couple of days to regroup and remember that it's just
mechanical bits and know that I could methodically work through things one
at a time.
