KA24 -> SR20DET

Stefan,

The 240 and the Altima are a bit heavier than the Sentra, I think that's
whay Nissan went with the higher torque of the KA in those cars.

The SR20DE is not a popular swap into the 240, as it (in its stock form)
would be a slight downgrade in power from the KA24DE installed from 1991
forward. I'm not arguing the benefits of either - the SR is a much more
refined motor than the KA, just the numbers.

The SR20DET from the Silvia/180SX is popular as a swap into the 240SX, with
the turbo giving it enough power to motivate the 240. It's also popular as a
swap into the Sentra and G20. I'm not too up on the Altima scene, but it
should be an easy swap into there as well.

I love the way my 240 handles (and hopefully I'll love the acceleration
afetr my SR swap this spring), but I think I'd really enjoy a Classic with
an SR20DET. :)

Subject: Altima KA24DE -> SR20DE(T) Swap?

I know that for the 240 a popular swap is a SR20DE, but is it being done
for the Altima?
