Just got a 93 NX2000

Research Octane is not that same as the octane rating that you see on the
pump.  In the US, it's Research+Measured?/2 or something like that.  Put 89
in it and advance the timing to about 17.  It'll be perfectly happy.

Congrats on the purchase.  That was my first SR20DE.  Try to check the MAF
ground, and put some decent struts on it, and you'll be happy.  Until you
find out about the Exhaust, Cam, Intake, Header, ECU,... combos that can be
had :-)  One thing, be careful handling the T-tops (you didn't say if it had
the t-tops, but being a 93, I'll assume it does), they can get worn out and
scratched up pretty easily if not properly cared for.
